TrueCalling is a career navigation platform that helps you find work aligned with who you are. We take the trust you place in us seriously — you share your professional history so we can guide you, and that history stays yours.

This policy describes the information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, web application, and related services (together, the Service). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to navigate on your behalf:

• Account information — your name, email address, and authentication details when you create an account.
• Profile & résumé data — the skills, experience, titles, preferences, and documents you provide so we can build your targets and match you to roles.
• Usage information — the targets you run, roles you save or apply to, and how you interact with the Service, so we can improve your matches and the product.
• Device & log data — standard technical data such as browser type, IP address, and timestamps, used for security and reliability.

We do not ask for information we don't need, and we don't buy personal data about you from third parties to build your profile.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Build and run your targets and produce your matches and TrueCalling Scores.
• Provide company, culture, leadership, and sponsorship intelligence relevant to your search.
• Operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Communicate with you about your account, matches, and important updates.

We do not use your résumé or profile to train third-party foundation models, and we do not sell your personal information. Full stop.

The TrueCalling Score & automated processing

Your matches and scores are produced through automated processing that weighs factors such as skills, values alignment, growth, and culture signals. The Score is informational guidance to help you decide — it is not a decision made about you, and it does not determine your access to any employment.

You can adjust the weighting behind your Score at any time, and every Score comes with a transparent breakdown so you understand how it was reached.

How we share information

We share personal information only in these limited cases:

• Service providers — vetted processors (for example, hosting and infrastructure) who act on our instructions under contract.
• Legal & safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
• Business transfers — if TrueCalling is involved in a merger or acquisition, with notice to you.

We never sell your personal information, and we never share it with employers without your explicit action.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and only as long as needed for the purposes described here. You can delete your data from the Service's data settings at any time; when you delete your account, we remove your personal data on a defined schedule, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations.

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We honor these rights for all users regardless of location.

• Access & portability — export your jobs and matches from data settings at any time.
• Correction — edit your profile and preferences directly.
• Deletion — delete individual data or your entire account.

To exercise any right, use in-product controls or contact us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

How we protect your information

International data transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
